Braden Cleary

Braden is a senior at Indiana University pursuing dual degrees in Arts Management and Theatre and Drama. In Summer 2014, Braden was an Education Intern at Classic Stage Company in New York City. For CSC, Braden conducted a comprehensive impact study analyzing the benefits of Shakespeare education in New York City schools as well as authored an educational study guide that will be used this Spring in schools across all five boroughs of the city. Previous education positions include Indiana University and Chicago Street Theatre. Directing credits for University Players include Hello Herman, Dustin Lance Black's 8, and Sarah Kane's 4.48 Psychosis. In Spring 2014, his research, An Empedoclean Tempest: The Storm in King Lear, was offered honorable mention by the College of Arts and Sciences Intensive Writing program. In March, Braden will travel to Cuba with the School of Public and Environmental Affairs honors program to study Comparative Policy. A two-time Northwest Indiana Excellence in Theatre Foundation Scholar, Braden is from Valparaiso, Indiana.
